Innova Corporate is a trusted PHPA supplier for West-Bengal’s massive infrastructure and piling projects. Our PHPA is widely used as a viscosifier and stabilizer in specialized drilling and foundation work for metro rail and bridge construction in the Gangetic delta. For West-Bengal’s civil engineering needs, our PHPA provides excellent friction reduction and superior borehole stability.
Being anionic in nature, PHPA molecules attach to the positively charged edges of clay platelets, effectively binding them together. This encapsulation mechanism prevents cuttings from dispersing, making solids removal more efficient. Additionally, it forms a protective layer that slows water penetration into the shale, preventing swelling and erosion.
Technical Note: PHPA is highly stable but high temperature or high pH (>10.5) conditions should be monitored, as they can accelerate polymer hydrolysis and release ammonia traces. It should be added regularly while drilling shale sections to maintain consistent protective concentration.
